Seminar-training aimed on public participation in water management, Repino, Saint-Petersburg.
“Center for Transboundary Cooperation-Saint-Petersburg” convoked NGO’s from North-West Russia and Belarus' to participate in seminar-training aimed on public participation in water management. The meeting took place at 12-13th June 2008 in Repino.
During the training such questions as conceptual approaches and background of public participation in water management, best practices examples, available funding instruments for NGOs to develop new projects in this field of interest were discussed.
Some non-governmental organizations discussed the most successful projects based on their own experience, exchanged the knowledge, and others – improved own communication skills to cooperate with mass-media.
This meeting was organized in the frame of NCM-funded project “Support to public participation in water management in North-Eastern Baltic Sea Region” (WaterPub).
