This seminar is aimed at water management discussing in transboundary river basins and at assessing the ecological status and characterics of river basins.

The main objectives of the seminar are:
- to present results of the TRABANT project
- to discuss tools in the assessment of surface water status, monitoring and identification of pressures, including GIS
- to debate the role and content of management and planning in transboundary river basins
- to highlight the linkage between water management and spatial planning in the target area countries
- to review methods of public participation in water management
- to present results of an evaluation of the methods used in management and analysis of water bodies.
